Hublot Watches & How To Wear Them 3
Location: Jurong, Singapore
To cap off 2019 and to wrap up our set of Hublot Style Guides (see part 1 here and part 2 here), we picked up a set of the newly unveiled Hublot South East Asian Edition watches, plus a few extras and headed to Jurong. Accompanied by models @nedface & @juwaidijumanto, photographer @NicholasGascoine and technicians @you_john & @flagz_yeh shot each of the watches under the warm midday Singaporean sun. Details below.
Big Bang 38mm “Steel Diamonds” SEA Edition (More info on SEA Editions here)
Late last year, Hublot released five South East Asia Edition watches in celebration of the sophisticated watch collecting scene in the region. The collection includes three Big Bang references (44 mm, 41 mm and 38 mm), the Classic Fusion 45 mm Aerofusion Chronograph Ceramic and the Spirit of Big Bang 42 mm. Above: Nedra is wearing the Hublot Big Bang 38mm “Steel Diamonds” SEA Edition. Featuring a polished and satin-finished stainless-steel case, black satin-finished sunray dial, polished rhodium-plated hands with white luminescent and matching black alligator straps with rubber underlays. More details on the SEA Edition collection here.
Big Bang Unico Blue Magic (Ref: 411.ES.5119.RX)
Limited to 500, the Big Bang Unico Blue Magic (on Juwaidi’s wrist) boasts a 45mm polished blue ceramic case and bezel with a matching black and blue lined rubber strap. Under the anti-reflective treated sapphire crystal is a matt black and blue skeleton dial, displaying the inner workings of the HUB1242 self-winding chronograph movement.
Classic Fusion Orlinski King Gold (Ref: 550.OS.1800.RX.ORL19)
Symbolising the characteristic facets in Richard Orlinski’s often monumental works, edges, bevels and facets have been miniaturised with horological precision, on the Classic Fusion Orlinski King Gold, to create a mirror effect on the dial. The understated strap in matt black rubber creates an arresting contrast, all the more pronounced on the diamond-set variants of the Classic Fusion Orlinski collection.
Hublot AeroFusion Chronograph Ceramic SEA Edition (More info on SEA Editions here)
The Classic Fusion Aerofusion Chronograph has a satin-finished and polished black ceramic case and 18K King Gold rectangular chronograph pushers and crown – a first for Hublot. The black and gold combination perfectly represents the sophistication of the SEA watch collecting scene, as well as the warm tropical climate of the region. More details on the SEA Edition collection here.
Hublot Spirit of Big Bang 42mm SEA Edition (More info on SEA Editions here)
True to the Spirit of Big Bang collection, the Spirit of Big Bang 42mm SEA Edition features a barrel-shaped black micro-blasted ceramic case and bezel lug, black PVD titanium with black rubber insert crown, pushers and a black micro-blasted ceramic case back. The HUB4700 calibre has 50 hours of power reserve and is conveniently water-resistant to 100 metres.
