Advancing Watch Culture for a Good Cause
The Hour Glass is proud to be the sole retailer in the region to present the Only Watch 2023 exhibition, befitting of our mission to advance watch culture.
“The Hour Glass is delighted to once again host the Only Watch 2023 stopover in Singapore. Only Watch has risen to be the sole unifying platform in the watch industry that allows both the institutional brands, as well as the independent artisanal watchmakers, to showcase the expanse of their technical watchmaking innovation, their creative talent and craftsmanship; all for an incredible cause,” says Michael Tay, Group Managing Director of The Hour Glass.
About Only Watch
Only Watch was created in 2005 to raise funds for research on Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a genetic disease that concerns 1 in 3,500 boys and weakens progressively all their muscles. Once every two years, the watch community gathers to auction one-off timepieces, with the proceeds going to Association Monégasque contre les Myopathies to benefit research programs on DMD and genetic diseases.
The past nine editions have raised nearly CHF 100 million and has given the Monaco-based charity organization the means to sustainably finance research projects and accelerate research on treatment and cure for DMD.
