Legacy Machine 1 – MB&F’s Tribute to Great Innovators of Traditional Watchmaking

A mere mention of MB&F and the compelling vision of unconventional, wild three-dimensional horological machines comes to mind. MB&F’s latest creation, Legacy Machine 1, is an entirely new line that is conceptualised to pay tribute to great innovations in traditional watchmaking.

Legacy Machine 1 (LM1) is the brand’s first round timepiece with limited production. Orders by enthusiastic MB&F fans moved at a record pace over the launch period, with deliveries expected from November 2011 onwards.

Retaining the three-dimensional DNA of MB&F’s distinctive style, LM1 is the first collaboration between Jean-Francois Mojon and acclaimed independent watchmaker Kari Voutilainen, with the three-dimensional horological movement developed 100% for MB&F by Jean-Francois Mojon and his team at Chronode. A majestic reinterpretation of 19th century watchmaking excellence, LM1 is a contemporary, three-dimensional objet d’art with an ingenious floating balance wheel, two completely independent time zones, and the world’s first vertical power reserve indicator.

In limited quantities, the LM1 is available in 18k red or white gold.
