Into The Wild Cartier Pop-Up in Melbourne
La maison is coming to Melbourne. From March 6 – 15, Cartier will be running the Into The Wild Pop-Up at Federation Square in Melbourne. Unlike past exhibitions at the Cartier Foundation for Contemporary Art in Paris or at the Beijing Palace Museum, Into The Wild aims to be different. Instead, it will focus on the extraordinary contributions of former Cartier Creative Director, Jeanne Toussaint.
Jeanne Toussaint is credited with popularising Cartier’s distinct animal motifs and, most notably, its signature Panthère. In fact, she earned the nickname “La Panthère” through her embodiment of everything the collection stood for: femininity, mystery, elegance, and beauty. Aside from Jeanne, perhaps the other most influential individual on Cartier in the early 20th century was the pilot Alberto Santos-Dumont. Such was her impact on the famed Parisian maison.

The Pop-Up promises to be an immersive experience, telling the story of La Panthère and will feature a range of Panthère pieces from both past and present.
