With a long tradition of excellence in the construction of lenses and optical devices, Leica Camera has always kept key focus on tradition and innovation. In the same vein, The Hour Glass prides itself as the world’s leading cultural retail enterprise by celebrating the primary concept of authentic luxury where it endeavours to bring to the fore, an appreciation of objects with true exclusivity and artisanship.

Managing Director of Leica Camera Asia Pacific, Mr Sunil Kaul shares, “A beautiful photograph is both an artistic expression and a perspective of the societies we live in. For over 100 years, Leica Camera has played a vital role in capturing iconic images through the brilliance of Leica lens. Today, we are pleased to be aligned with one of the leading luxury watch retailers in Singapore, The Hour Glass. The first Leica M-P Brass Edition is limited to only 35 pieces in the world which makes it highly sought after and I believe Leica enthusiasts will be looking forward to this special model with much anticipation.”

Mr Michael Tay, Group Managing Director of The Hour Glass comments, “It started out as an idea inspired by the concept of luxury in its most authentic and artisanal form two years ago.  We are proud and thrilled to see this project come to fruition. We wanted an object which is pure and unadulterated hence the beauty of brass in its original form was born. Brass embodies the glamour of gold in an understated way.”

Mr Tay adds, “The Leica M-P Brass Edition 35 will be presented exclusively at Malmaison by The Hour Glass. Malmaison is our multi-category luxury emporium to house the finest and the most authentic horology and objects of exclusivity and perpetuity. The Leica M-P Brass Edition will be placed alongside other objets d’art which were commissioned by The Hour Glass such as the Ikepod 60-minute hourglass designed specially by Marc Newson.”
