At its core, the RRCHF is a flyback chronograph defined by restraint and discipline. The architecture of the display is deliberately composed: hours, minutes, and running seconds are complemented by a central chronograph seconds hand and an instantaneous minute counter, offering both legibility and mechanical intent. The emphasis here is not on spectacle, but on coherence; each indication placed with purpose, each function integrated without disruption.

The case measures at 38.8 mm in diameter and it reflects a sensitivity to proportion that is increasingly rare. Its construction—featuring 52 components—is not merely technical but architectural, with a stepped bezel and elongated lugs that lend both presence and continuity to the overall silhouette.

The lugs extend with a certain fluidity, guiding the eye along the curvature of the case and into the strap, hand-stitched in-house using a Norwegian central stitch. This continuity reinforces the sense that every element has been considered not in isolation, but as part of a larger composition.

The dial reveals another dimension of the manufacture’s capabilities. Executed in-house in grand feu enamel, it is offered in two distinct expressions: a stormy blue for the platinum model and a deep black for the rose gold version.

What distinguishes the dial is not colour alone, but the interplay of depth and transparency. Grey-tinted sapphire counters sit above the enamel base, creating a layered effect that draws the eye inward. This construction allows the indications to remain legible while introducing a subtle sense of dimensionality; never overt, always controlled.

The hands, too, are carefully considered. Polished steel forms the base, with nuanced details such as a stepped tip on the minute and central seconds hands, and a slight curvature to the latter. The chronograph hands introduce a contrasting coppery tone, achieved through tempering, adding warmth without disturbing the overall harmony.

Turning the RRCHF over reveals the movement in full, where the philosophy of balance becomes explicit. Housing 320 components and 30 jewels, it operates at 21,600 vibrations per hour with a 72-hour power reserve. More than its specifications, however, it is the visual organisation that commands attention. The movement is arranged with a clear sense of symmetry, where bridges, wheels, and levers are positioned to create both mechanical efficiency and visual equilibrium.

This is not incidental; it is integral to the identity of the RRCHF. The finishing underscores this intent. Côtes de Genève, inward angles, black polishing, poli-bercé, and circular graining are all executed by hand, each surface treated as an opportunity for refinement.
