SINN ADVANCES PURPOSE-BUILT WATCHMAKING WITH 2026 RELEASES

14 Apr 2026 · 8 min read

SINN’s latest releases during Watches and Wonders 2026 reaffirm a philosophy that has long defined the Frankfurt-based maker: form is never independent of function. Each new reference is conceived as an instrument first, with aesthetics emerging from technical intent rather than stylistic ambition. Across the 308 Hunting Watch, the 544 series, and the 936 S chronograph, there is a consistent emphasis on legibility, resilience, and purposeful engineering.

Rather than pursuing visual excess, SINN continues to refine usability under specific conditions, whether that be low-light environments, magnetic interference, or the physical demands of daily wear. The result is a tightly focused collection that rewards closer inspection.

308 Hunting Watch

The 308 Hunting Watch rests on a 40 mm stainless steel case housing the SW382-1 movement, equipped with Ar-Dehumidifying Technology

The 308 Hunting Watch is defined by a complication rarely encountered: a moonlight display at 6 o’clock, indicating when natural light conditions are sufficient for visibility without artificial aid. This functionality is supported by a robust technical framework. The watch is powered by the SW382-1 automatic movement, beating at 4 Hz with 25 jewels and a seconds stop function.

Encased in satinised stainless steel, the 40 mm case is both water- and pressure-resistant to 20 bar, and also resistant to low pressure. SINN’s Ar-Dehumidifying Technology is integrated to prevent internal fogging and enhance long-term stability.

Legibility remains a defining priority. Hybrid ceramic luminous elements are used for both indices and the moonlight display, achieving a high concentration of luminous material for visibility in the dark. A centre-mounted date hand adds functional clarity without disrupting the dial’s structure.

At 12 mm thin and weighing just 69 g (without strap), the 308 balances technical capability with wearability, resulting in a watch engineered for specific environmental conditions rather than generalised use. Due to the dial's versatile design, the 308 can accommodate a wide range of bracelets and straps. This includes two stainless steel bracelets, three leather straps of differing colours, and even a rubber option in a matching green hue.

544 & 544 RS

The 544 series is defined by its reduced design, hybrid ceramic luminous elements, and a 60-hour power reserve visible through a sapphire case back

The 544 series distils SINN’s design language to its essentials, but this reduction is supported by carefully considered technical detail. Both the 544 and 544 RS are powered by the SW 200-2 automatic movement, featuring 26 jewels, a frequency of 4 Hz, and a seconds stop function.

The stainless steel case, bead-blasted for a subdued finish, measures 38.5 mm in diameter and 10 mm in thickness, offering a compact and balanced profile. Water resistance is rated to 20 bar, with additional resistance to low pressure ensuring consistent performance across varying conditions.

A defining ergonomic feature is the crown at 4 o’clock, which reduces pressure on the wrist during wear. The crown is equipped with SINN’s D3-System, providing enhanced protection against dust and moisture ingress.

The distinction between the two models lies primarily in execution. The 544 maintains a restrained aesthetic with a white seconds hand, while the 544 RS introduces a red seconds hand for improved daylight visibility. Both employ hybrid ceramic luminous indices and luminescent-coated hands to ensure readability in low-light environments.

With a power reserve of at least 60 hours and sapphire crystal on both sides of the case, the 544 series demonstrates how technical robustness can coexist with a deliberately reduced design.

936 S

The 936 S combines magnetic field protection up to 100 mT with a bicompax layout for clear, intuitive chronograph reading

The 936 S represents SINN’s most technically concentrated release within this group. It is driven by the in-house SZ05 chronograph movement, which reconfigures the traditional layout by introducing a 60-minute chronograph counter at 3 o’clock.

This configuration allows elapsed time to be read directly, eliminating the need to interpret multiple sub-dials. The movement operates at 28,800 semi-oscillations per hour, with 26 jewels and a seconds stop function, maintaining consistency with SINN’s broader mechanical standards.

The 43 mm stainless steel case is treated with black hard coating on a tegimented base, significantly increasing surface hardness and resistance to wear. Magnetic field protection up to 100 mT (80,000 A/m) ensures operational reliability in environments where interference would typically compromise accuracy.

Water resistance is rated to 10 bar, complemented by low-pressure resistance and a screwable crown. The chronograph pushers are equipped with the D3-System, reinforcing durability against external elements. Visually, the bicompax dial layout enhances legibility, while luminescent coatings on the indices and hands ensure readability in reduced light. At 15 mm thick and weighing 111 g (without strap), the 936 S conveys a clear sense of its mechanical density and purpose.

Coherence Through Engineering

Across these releases, SINN demonstrates a consistent commitment to engineering-led design. Whether through the environmental specificity of the 308, the disciplined reduction of the 544 series, or the functional clarity of the 936 S chronograph, each watch is defined by its technical intent.

Key technologies—Ar-Dehumidifying systems, hybrid ceramic luminous elements, tegimented surface treatments and magnetic field protection—are applied not as features to be listed, but as integral components of performance. The result is a collection that prioritises clarity over complexity, and function over embellishment. In doing so, SINN continues to refine its position as a maker of purpose-built mechanical instruments, where specification and design remain inseparable.
