PMT The Hour Glass expands its presence at ICONSIAM Shopping Center by introducing its latest multi-brand watch boutique inspired by the majestic River of Kings. The new boutique will bring the latest novelties from watchmaking capitals of the world to Bangkok.
Following the success of the company’s multi-brand specialty watch retail concept in Thailand, PMT The Hour Glass is proud to introduce its latest 227sqm multi-brand watch boutique at ICONSIAM. The boutique is specially designed to reflect a warm and friendly atmosphere that captures the true art of contemporary and refined luxury living.
Inspired by the River of Kings
No two boutiques are alike and PMT The Hour Glass ICONSIAM Boutique respectfully embraces the cues of its new home. Natural stones and timber form the bones of the boutique while sumptuous leather and delicate metal and rope detailing respectively soften and highlight the interiors.
Exemplary craftsmanship abounds throughout, from the smooth hand-assembly of the natural stone façade to the fluidity of its architecture. The key design elements of the boutique – the five-meter-high artwork featuring golden line pattern depicting the journey of the various tributaries that converge into the meandering Chao Praya River; the vessel-shaped green onyx center countertop; the partitions made from five kilometer-long delicate woven ropes; and the circular pendant lighting features adorning the boutique’s high ceiling crafted using the traditional Japanese “Washi” paper craft technique – all inspired by the river connection of the site, resulting in accents that echo the way of life and the cultural heritage of the river that has nourished Bangkok since the beginning of the Kingdom.
A Shop-in-Shop Concept
Carved out spaces create individual display areas for PMT The Hour Glass’ constellation of brands to showcase each brand’s DNA and latest novelties from Rolex, Tudor, Hublot, Girard-Perregaux and Ulysse Nardin.
Hublot fans will be especially thrilled that the watchmaker has chosen this boutique for the Thailand debut of its shop-in-a-shop concept. Tracing the path paved by the Hublot boutique in Mykonos, the Hublot space captures the eternal summer of tropical Bangkok, marked by a desire for travel and adventure.
Over at Tudor’s display, the manufacture’s signature black, red, and white livery impart its youthful edge and athleticism. Its Black Bay collection of dive watches fittingly have a starring role here, every one of them equipped with chronometer-certified in-house movements, legible markings for visibility in low-light conditions, and elegant proportions wrapped in retro or contemporary aesthetics.
The Ulysse Nardin space is designed using the brand’s latest contemporary concept inspired by the ocean waves whilst Girard-Perregaux’s shop-in-shop takes inspiration from brand’s blade-shaped line resembling the neat and beautiful arrangement of the city plan heritage of La Chaux-de-Fonds, the birthplace of the brand, and the mountains that surround the town.
“ICONSIAM is an exclusive shopping destination with beautiful architecture and design. With five multi-brand watch boutiques in Thailand, we are able to expand our business with the tourist market as well as our important Thai customer base. We are confident that this new PMT The Hour Glass multi-brand watch boutique will offer unique shopping experience for aficionados and enthusiasts alike,” said Mr. Narun Thamavaranukup, Managing Director of PMT The Hour Glass.
Combining comfort with quality, PMT The Hour Glass invites customers to its latest multi-brand watch boutique ICONSIAM to share their exceptional and important moments – viewing some of the world’s finest timepieces whilst benefiting from friendly horological expertise that makes the purchase of a watch a rewarding experience.
