Hublot Presents the Classic Fusion Elements II Special Edition

There have been many different iterations of the Hublot Classic Fusion over the years. That includes the Orlinski collection as well as the moonphase and chronograph editions of the watch. Even the Classic Fusion Elements brought something different to the table with its introduction two years ago, showcasing natural stone dials in their purest form. Hublot is back and, in conjunction with The Hour Glass once again, introduces the Hublot Classic Fusion Elements II special edition.

A partnership that has lasted over 40 years, Hublot and The Hour Glass are coming together once more to reaffirm their commitment to the Art of Fusion. Previously, the collection featured five natural stones in a 42 mm case: turquoise, red jasper, lapis lazuli, malachite, and tiger’s eye. The Classic Fusion Elements II special edition will be fitted in the same 42 mm case but with a new line-up of natural stones, with only turquoise making a return.

Hublot Classic Fusion Elements II – A Timeless Icon Revisited

Hublot Classic Fusion Elements II
All five watches feature a distinctive natural stone on the dial like lunar meteorite, pink jasper, nephrite jade, sodalite, and turquoise.

Hublot’s relentless pursuit of constantly pushing boundaries and exploring new materials is what gave birth to the Classic Fusion back in 1980. Its blend of natural stones with modern materials is the ethos for Hublot’s “Art of Fusion” philosophy, which fuses innovation with traditional craftsmanship. For the five new variants, they will be lunar meteorite, pink jasper, nephrite jade, sodalite, and turquoise.

Each stone represents a different aspect of the natural world while evoking a sense of richness and depth. The lunar meteorite is a rare stone that symbolises the celestial connection and timeless mystery of the universe. Pink jasper is known for its nurturing energy while also being associated with healing and tranquillity. As for the indigo sodalite stone, it’s known for its connection to logic and truth while the nephrite jade represents endurance and harmony. Lastly, there’s turquoise, which is seen as a symbol of wisdom and protection.

Aside from the five different natural stone dials, the Hublot Classic Fusion Elements II will feature the same calibre, case, strap, and materials across all five watches. This is in-line with the brand’s first foray with the Classic Fusion Elements. This reinterpretation of the brand’s ground-breaking design from the 1980s sees the combination of precious and modern materials that drew inspiration from a ship’s porthole, which is called “hublot” in French.

The Art of Fusion Reimagined

All five natural stone dials will be housed in a 42 mm titanium case that features both polished and satin finishes, which are further accentuated by 18k gold components. This includes the three hands hour, minutes, and seconds hand alongside the already iconic H-shaped bezel screws as well as its crown. To ensure the dial looks flushed and radiant, there will be no date window display at the 3 o’clock of the watch, unlike other Hublot Classic Fusion pieces.

The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal glass with anti-reflective treatment, giving you unobstructed view of the natural stone dial with meticulous detail. Flip the watch over and you will also find the satin-finished titanium case back, which will feature a special engravement. Seeing as it’s a special-edition collection in collaboration with The Hour Glass, each piece will have the phrase “SPECIAL EDITION” engraved on the back alongside the limited-edition numbering of each piece.

Beating at the heart of the Hublot Classic Fusion Elements II is the HUB1110 self-winding automatic movement, which has been the preferred choice for the collection. It’s made of 177 components and has a power-reserve of up to 42 hours to keep the watch ticking over. The watches in the collection are also quite thin, measuring at 10.4 mm of thickness to give off a comfortable, yet striking appearance. The watch is kept secure with a black alligator leather strap that is complete with an 18k gold and 5N stainless steel deployant buckle.

Unique to Southeast Asia

The Hublot Classic Fusion Elements II collection will be available at The Hour Glass boutiques across countries like Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, and Thailand. There are just 10 pieces to each natural stone dial variant available, which will also be marked with its engravement on the case back.

Hublot’s “Art of Fusion” philosophy has always driven us to explore new materials and
push the boundaries of watchmaking. With the Classic Fusion Elements II collection, we
continue to blend tradition with innovation, creating watches that are as unique as the
stones from which they are crafted. This collaboration with The Hour Glass exemplifies
our mutual dedication to excellence and the appreciation of creative watchmaking.
