The award event of the horological year has just wrapped up in Geneva, where the industry celebrated the best watch releases from the past 12 months in a lavish ceremony and gala dinner. This year, 21 prizes were awarded by the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève Jury chaired by Nick Foulkes.
The GPHG Jury chaired by Nick Foulkes distinguished the Legacy Machine Sequential EVO, attributing the Aiguille d’Or Grand Prix to MB&F.
In the Men’s category, AKRIVIA RRCCII came out as the winning watch. Kari Voutilainen’s craftsmanship in the Ji-Ku saw him take the prize for Artistic Crafts. Best diver watch went to Tudor Pelagos FXD, and TAG Heuer’s Monaco x Gulf Edition won in the Iconic category. A double win for Bulgari, with the Serpenti Misteriosi High Jewellery claiming the Jewellery Watch prize, and the Octo Finnissimo Ultra 10th Anniversary awarded the Audacity prize by the jury.
This year, the Special Jury prize celebrated François Junod. The automaton-maker and sculptor has worked with various brands in some of their most astonishing automaton creations.
For those travelling to Geneva, discover the winners along with the rest of the 90 nominated watches at the Musée Rath in Geneva until 20 November 2022.
The 2022 winners will also be presented in New York from December 1 to 4.
