Visa Cash App Racing Bulls F1 Team's Inside the Garage Experience: Presented by Visa, TUDOR & HUGO

When TUDOR partnered with Visa Cash App Racing Bulls F1 Team (VCARB) in 2024, the Swiss Manufacture wasn't entering unfamiliar territory. The brand's relationship with motorsports extends through decades of chronograph development, where mechanical precision meant the difference between victory and defeat.

From 25 September to 5 October, the 'Inside the Garage' exhibition takes center stage at ION Orchard’s B4 ION Station, timed perfectly with the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix. At the exhibition is a striking VCARB show car, highlighting the engineering parallels between high-performance racing machines and the cutting-edge TUDOR watches on display.

The timing requirements in professional racing demand absolute precision. TUDOR’s role as Official Timekeeper Partner of VCARB Team underscores the brand’s dedication to crafting watches engineered for exceptional performance—whether capturing split-second lap times on the track or keeping pace with everyday life.

TUDOR's Black Bay Chrono exemplifies this technical capability. It houses the manufacture calibre MT5813, a column-wheel chronograph beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4Hz). This frequency enables one-eighth second precision on the chronograph scale. The 41 mm steel case maintains 200-metre water resistance, sealed by a solid caseback that prioritises robustness over display—typical of TUDOR's tool watch philosophy.

With its 70-hour power reserve and silicon hairspring, the COSC-certified MT5813 performs reliably whether timing laps or daily wear. The Black Bay Chrono "Carbon 25" advances the concept through material innovation. Its 42 mm case—machined entirely from carbon fibre, including the end-links—weighs approximately 40 per cent less than steel while maintaining structural rigidity. Titanium pushers complement the carbon construction. Inside, the same MT5813 movement with silicon hairspring resists magnetic fields that would affect traditional steel components.

Mirroring the 2025 season livery on the VCARB team car, the Black Bay Chrono "Carbon 25" is a limited production of only 2,025 pieces, paying homage to a landmark year in TUDOR’s dynamic motorsport legacy.

Both watches feature TUDOR's snowflake hands—a design element dating to 1969 French Navy commissions. The distinctive square hour hand improves legibility underwater and in low light conditions, equally valuable whether timing decompression stops or dusk practice sessions at Marina Bay.

INSIDE THE GARAGE AT ION ORCHARD

The ION Orchard exhibition includes interactive experiences that demonstrate the importance of precision timing in motorsport. TUDOR's presence extends beyond the exhibition space; The Hour Glass TUDOR boutique on Level 3 displays the complete collection, including non-motorsport references that share the same technical foundations.

Step into the shoes of a VCARB driver: test your reflexes at the HUGO’s time reaction challenge, take the wheel in TUDOR’s racing simulator, and strike a pose with the iconic VCARB livery. The experience continues at the TUDOR boutique by The Hour Glass in ION Orchard, Level 3 - stand to a chance at redeeming a limited edition VCARB LEGO set upon completion of the in-store TUDOR Arcade.

The exhibition opens as Singapore prepares for its Grand Prix weekend, when mechanical precision takes centre stage. Whether measuring lap times or hours, the fundamental challenge remains unchanged: creating mechanisms that perform consistently under pressure.

VCARB's Inside the Garage Experience runs from 25 September to 5 October at ION Orchard B4 ION Station.
