Longines – Official Timekeeper Of Melbourne Cup Carnival 2015
As Official Timekeeper of the Melbourne Cup Carnival, Longines extends its partnership as the Official Timekeeper with the Victorian Racing Club into a fourteenth year and reinforces its global standing in the racing industry.
The pinnacle of the Longines’ Spring Racing Carnival Program is the international Group 1 Race on AAMI Victorian Derby Day, where Longines is the naming rights partner of the highly acclaimed Longines Mackinnon Stakes. The Longines Mackinnon Stakes acts as the perfect prelude to the Hong Kong International races which take place during December.
Following the conclusion of the $1m, Group 1 Longines Mackinnon Stakes (2000m) at Flemington Racecourse, Melbourne on 24 October, the Longines timepiece trophies will be awarded by Longines General Manager Australia, Amelia Michael.
Australia’s largest and most acclaimed outdoor fashion event, the “Myer Fashions on the Field” competition is synonymous with Melbourne Cup Week. In a natural association of fashion and racing elegance, Guest of Longines Edwina McCann, Editor In Chief of Vogue Australia and Myer Fashions on the Field Ambassador, Georgia Connolly, will present the winner of the Longines Award for Elegance, with a steel and gold, Conquest Classic. Amelia Michael, Longines General Manager Australia will award the Men’s Racewear winner, and runner-up with an elegance Longines timepiece.
