Hublot Nation Pops up – The Latest Mammoth Edifice In The Heart Of Orchard Road!

Hublot Nation! – Hublot’s latest monster pop-up affair has been unveiled today in the heart of Orchard Road at Paragon to showcase the unique world of Hublot from World’s First high-tech materials engineered into exclusive limited-edition timepieces to premium collectibles.

Running till the 22^nd of September, the pop-up store will concur with yet another exhilarating season of the 2014 FORMULA 1 SINGAPORE AIRLINES SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX – Hublot is Official Timekeeper of Ferrari – and is the perfect platform to showcase Hublot’s power and influence as a pioneering leader in innovative watchmaking.

“Hublot Nation is the second instalment following the immensely successful show that concluded two years ago. A retrospective set out to unite like-minded collectors and fans of the brand, Hublot Nation is The Hour Glass’ way of commemorating our 30-over years illustrious affiliation with Hublot,” says Ms Wong Mei Ling, Managing Director of The Hour Glass.

She continues, “As Hublot’s exclusive South-East Asian retailer, this project helmed by The Hour Glass is a true celebration of Hublot’s audacious disposition in the world of luxury watchmaking as a purveyor of exceptional timepiece movements, innovation in the field of materials and creativity in the conception of truly exceptional luxury watches.”

Tapping into the creativity of Mr. Mathias Buttet, Director of Hublot’s Research &  Development, the man responsible for Hublot’s extraordinary masterpieces such as the Antikythera and Manufacture Piece MP-05 LaFerrari; the design inspiration of this latest pop-up store stems from his vision playing off of Hublot’s unique motto “Art of Fusion”: fusion between tradition and innovation, fusion between materials, fusion which connects the past with the future. The overall store aesthetics is a cosmic vision of the unknown and a celestial portrayal and possibility of life beyond earth, inviting visitors to encounter a different realm. Standing at a commanding 6.5 metres tall, it is realised with an inspired interplay of illuminations to achieve a mesmerizing glow to the façade. Premiering the Classic Fusion Tourbillon Firmament, an exquisite timepiece that is made with osmium crystal, a World First. Osmium is one of the world’s rarest and most prized metals.
