Three New Models Join Harry Winston Ocean Collection

Harry Winston just unveiled three new models joining the Ocean collection. A line dedicated to sports watches, the Ocean collection embodies Harry Winston heritage of mechanical horology as well as its avant-garde design and audacious spirit. The American jeweller may be known for its exceptional diamond jewellery, it also boasts a proud heritage in watchmaking and a line-up of icons that built its reputation of high-end watchmaker since 1989.

The three latest designs are inspired by New York architecture and crafted in Zalium – a zirconium alloy proprietary to Harry Winston that is notably lightweight and resistant. First, the Project Z series that was launched in 2004 and continuously enriched since then, welcomes two new colour variations for the Project Z10 watch: the Orange and Yellow Zalium Variation models. Third in the novelties line-up: the Project Z15 is the fifteenth edition of the avant-garde Project Z watches.

Zalium Variation Yellow and Orange Retrograde Watches

Housed in high-tech Zalium cases, the openworked dials of the new Ocean Timepieces expose their bold technical architecture, inspired by the Manhattan Bridge. The audacious contrast between the grey Zalium case and the bright orange or yellow accents on the dial will appeal to those with an active lifestyle, who enjoy the spectacle of retrograde mechanical complications and appreciate the solidity of a bold sports watch.

Equipped with the in-house automatic caliber HW3305, these two new colour variations feature retrograde counters at 4 and 8 o’clock while the hours and minutes are excentered and the date is displayed at 6 o’clock. Both colour variations are released as limited editions of 100 pieces each worldwide.

Project Z15: An Avant-Garde, Skeletonized Watch

Harry Winston unveils the fifteenth timepiece in its avant-garde Project Z series. Crafted from Zalium, a lightweight, highly resilient material exclusive to Harry Winston, the Project Z is distinguished by its fusion of classic horological composition with highly architectural elements.

Equipped with the automatic caliber HW3207 boasting a 65-hour power reserve, the Project Z15 is a modern interpretation of regulator clocks, traditionally distinguished by their separate mechanisms for the minute and hour hands. Indeed its partially skeletonized dial enhances the small retrograde seconds (subdial at 6 o’clock), the black contrasting hour counter (subdial at 12 o’clock) and its partially skeletonized sweep minute hand (central hand). The new model also boasts luminescent gold Emerald applique indexes, applique minute hands as well as applique logo at noon.

Design wise, Project Z15 embodies Harry Winston heritage in fine sports watches. Its skeletonized case features bridges inspired by New York City’s urban landscape. These architectural lines are also a subtle hint at Harry Winston signature octagon. Finally its classy design is enhanced by touches of bright blue hue, a signature colour of Harry Winston and definitely a great energetic, contrasting detail to finish off this watch.

Project 15 is a limited edition: only 300 units of the reference are available globally.
