The Hour Glass Unveils Ulysse Nardin The Freak Limited Edition

The Hour Glass and Ulysse Nardin are proud to present the Freak Limited Edition, a unique and impressive timepiece that is specially conceptualised and created for us.

One of horology’s most iconic piece in history, The Freak was introduced to the horological sphere in 2001; its inventive and uncoventional design caused a worldwide sensation amongst watch aficionados. The Freak is also a forerunner in the industry using Silicium Technology, it embodies the sound dexterity and technological advancement in artistic watchmaking. The Freak is also the recipient of the Innovation Prize Award in 2001 with widely acclaimed names such as “kinetic art” and “wrist poetry”, revolutionising the watchmaking industry.

Ten years on, through the Freak’s progressive tour de force culminates in the creation of the Freak Limited Edition which took more than a year in the making. This is the first time time Ulysse Nardin has created a limited edition of the Freak exclusively for a retailer.

Inspiring, daringly different, the Freak paved the way for creativity in horology, or what we term today as kinetic horological art.

Available in only 20 pieces worldwide, to signify the two decades of long-standing close partnership between the illustrious Swiss Marquee and The Hour Glass. Retailing at S$175,700 at The Hour Glass Boutiques from March 2013.
