RJ-Romain Jerome Presents an Explosive Cosmic Collision
Inspired by conquest of the solar system and the infinity of space, master of contemporary legends, RJ-Romain Jerome, is back with a new perspective of its Moon-DNA collection through the reveal of the 1969 collection. The 1969 is presented in a retro, vintage design and a lighter 43mm case, reflecting a nostalgic and bygone era of thin, geometrical clean lines. The collection features four new exciting versions each combined with colourful animated dials that will transport their owners into the mystical world of outer space.
The 1969 Heavy Metal Meteorite version features components of Chondrites, a meteorite much rarer than platinum or gold. Often referred to as “The crust of other worlds”, the meteorite is the most solid layer of any extraterrestrial rock found on earth. RJ-Romain Jerome has also found inspiration in Mother Earth’s treasures and used silicon on the dials of three other 1969 timepieces. Presented in blue, grey and brown, this natural translucent and very fragile element is coloured using a special PVD process giving the colours a textured finish highlighting each bold detail of this natural element.
By using cutting edge materials RJ-Romain Jerome highlights its recognizable design codes. The new case size and use of cosmic elements reflect the brands commitment to the conquest of space and to its continuous homage to contemporary legends. True to the DNA of the brand, the case backs of each watch in this limited edition are textured with a grainy stellar pattern and decorated with a medallion made from RJ’s Moon SilverRJ* reproducing the lunar surface.
Merging intrinsic brand DNA together with a new design, the 1969 is a cosmic collision between man’s dream of other worlds and true watchmaking precision.
RJ-Romain Jerome timepieces are exclusively available at The Hour Glass boutiques.
