Breitling’s newly redesigned Avenger collection has landed

Breitling’s new Avenger collection is an unstoppable masterpiece, boasting supersonic strength, full-throttle functionality, and the addition of the powerhouse Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01 to its chronograph models.

Built for jet pilots, Breitling’s Avenger has been at the forefront of airborne adventures for more than 20 years. Even so, with or without air force credentials, anyone would be able to appreciate its bold design, exceptional resilience, and next-level functionality.  

And now, its new generation has arrived. Breitling‘s latest Avenger has been redesigned with wear-resistant materials, a focus on sleek aviation detailing and, for its chronograph models, the addition of the insurmountable Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01. 

“The Avenger was created to stand up to the relentless conditions of a jet cockpit and to support pilots in demanding aerial maneuvers. Its redesign demanded nothing less,” says Breitling CEO Georges Kern. “This collection pairs all the performance with sophisticated modern aviation style.”  

WHAT’S NEW? 

Breitling’s newly redesigned Avenger collection features three formats, complete with a 300m water resistance: 44 mm chronograph, 44 mm automatic GMT, and 42 mm automatic.  

Regardless of your selection, the watch each comes with a choice of a military leather strap with folding pin buckle or a three-row stainless-steel bracelet with micro-adjustable folding clasp. The cherry on top is the easy-grip functionality and corrosion-resistant construction that would please anyone — yes, even if you can’t pull off a barrel roll. 

AVENGER B01 CHRONOGRAPH 44 AND NIGHT MISSION  

Meet the new Avenger chronograph with the Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01 at its heart, dynamically delivering approximately 70 hours of power (ensured by a five-year warranty). With a COSC-certified chronometer, the movement’s precise mechanics are put on full display for full viewing pleasure, thanks to the open sapphire-crystal caseback.  

The core models sport a coloured dial (blue, green, black or sand), streamlined by baton indexes — highlighting the red-tipped chrono hand —and complemented by a rotating 60-minute bezel in stainless steel.  

On the other hand, the Avenger Night Mission chronograph puts on a more daring front with its vibrant yellow — or carbon black — dial, housed in a scratch-resistant case and bezel. To maintain the theme of an aircraft-worthy design — light but tough — the caseback, crown, pushers, and buckle are crafted in solid titanium. After all, it has the highest strength-to-weight ratio of any metal.  

AVENGER AUTOMATIC GMT 44  

A red GMT hand is precious to pilots and frequent flyers for its instant readability of Zulu time along the 24-hour rotating bezel. For the new steel-cased Avenger Automatic GMT, there are choices to be made to match one’s fancy: black or naval-blue dials, and the option of either a military leather strap or three-row stainless steel bracelet. Internally, it’s powered by the COSC-certified Breitling Caliber 32, providing an approximate 42-hour reserve. It’s also backed by a two-year warranty.  

AVENGER AUTOMATIC 42 

Despite its trimmer 42mm diameter, the new Avenger Automatic in steel is every bit as robust as its larger counterparts. It comes in three colour options for its dial: black, naval blue or camo-green, with a choice between a matching military leather strap or three-row stainless-steel bracelet. The COSC-certified Breitling Caliber 17 automatic three-hand movement runs at its core, delivering up to 38 hours of power with a two-year warranty.
