Learning & Development Executive

About the opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity to hone your skills and knowledge in Learning & Development (L&D) in a dynamic organization. You will provide support across a wide spectrum of training programmes and team member initiatives – from onboarding new hires and helping them to assimilate into The Hour Glass culture, to employee engagement and leadership development. You will be involved in identifying development needs across levels, developing and implementing solutions that directly support those needs and aligning them to the strategic organizational objectives.

Your key responsibilities

Programmes and events coordination

  • Responsible for organizing and managing the logistics of new team members’ orientation and training activities
  • Coordinate training programmes held externally – liaise with all relevant parties and ensure evaluations are completed and analyzed for reporting

Administration

  • Maintain training records in the HR/Learning Management System
  • Provide Finance team with the cost allocations in a timely and accurate manner
  • Responsible for training grant submissions and subsidy claims from the respective government agencies
  • Create learning events in online system and liaise with providers for contents to be uploaded
  • Generate training evaluation reports for management’s review

Other learning and development activities

  • Support L&D team in addressing internal and external audits
  • Assist in ad-hoc tasks / projects as requested from time to time
  • Assist in managing and updating of training materials and archives

The type of candidate we are seeking

  • Diploma/Degree in Human Resource Management or Hospitality / Management
  • At least 2 years of experience with a strong focus on L&D
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent command of English – both written and verbal
  • Able to work extensively with web-based tools such as HR information system
  • Positive team player
  • Self-driven, analytical, coupled with a positive working attitude, the ability to work under pressure and are systematic in handling administrative matters
  • Work well independently to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • A team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
