Rolex Day-Date 40 With The New 3255 Movement

At this year’s Baselworld, Rolex has revealed an impressive array of models including the Day-Date 40 with the new 3255 Movement, the Lady-Datejust 28 with a Syloxi Hairspring, the Yacht-Master with the newly developed Oysterflex bracelet, a Gem-set Cellini Time, and three new versions of the Oyster Perpetual Datejust Pearlmaster in a new 39mm size.

These new developments by Rolex are a spectacular demonstration of an uncompromising mastery of all aspects of the art of watchmaking, from the movements to watch cases and bracelets.

ROLEX DAY-DATE 40 AND NEW 3255 MOVEMENT

Rolex is introducing the new generation of its most prestigious model, the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Day-Date, known as the “presidents’ watch” thanks to the well-known and eminent figures who have adopted it. It features a modernized design with a 40 mm case and a new mechanical movement, calibre 3255, which sets a new standard for chronometric performance. The new Day-Date redefines the status of Superlative Chronometer, established by Rolex in the late 1950s, a particularly emblematic attribute for a watch that is a symbol of excellence and prestige.

The new Rolex Calibre 3255 is a compelling example of avant-garde watchmaking technology, backed by 14 patents. This innovative movement offers fundamental gains in terms of precision, power reserve, resistance to shocks and magnetism, ease of use and reliability. It incorporates the new Chronergy escapement patented by Rolex, which combines high energy efficiency with great dependability.

The new Rolex Day-Date is available exclusively in 950 platinum or in 18 ct yellow, white or Everose gold, with a variety of elaborate new dials, veritable signatures of its renewal.
