Hublot Pays Tribute To Malaysia’s 60th Independence Day With A Special Limited Edition Big Bang “Merdeka” Timepiece
To mark the diamond jubilee of Malaysia’s independence, Hublot together with The Hour Glass will launch a limited edition of the iconic Hublot Big Bang to celebrate 60 years of the spirit of independence – the Hublot Big Bang “Merdeka”.
Limited to only 60 pieces and available exclusively in Malaysia, the Hublot Big Bang “Merdeka” features a 44 mm diameter blue ceramic case, uniquely developed by the Hublot Research and Development department, the core of Hublot’s most groundbreaking innovations. Accompanying the timepiece is a blue alligator strap adorned with gold stitches, paying tribute to the blue canton bearing a crescent and the 14-point star known as the Federal Star on the Malaysia’s national flag.
Highlighted on the sub-dial of the model is the visible number 60, colored in gold in reference to Malaysia’s 60th Independence celebration and the division of the hour into 60 minutes and division of the minutes into 60 seconds. The timepiece also features a date display between the 4 and 5 o’clock position and a scratch resistant sapphire case.
