Patek Philippe Novelties from Watches and Wonders 2022

We take a look at the best of the Patek Philippe 2022 novelties from this year’s Watches and Wonders.

World Time Ref. 5231-001G

Patek Philippe continues their long tradition of presenting World Time watches adorned with maps depicting various regions of the world in Grand Feu cloisonné enamel. For the first time, Patek Philippe pays tribute to the dynamic region of South-East Asia and Oceania in this new white gold version. Marking off the outlines of the continents with a thin gold wire, the artisan fills the compartments with various enamel colours to reproduce the oceans and land masses, repeatedly firing the dial plate at high temperature in a kiln multiple times to set the layers of enamel.

Annual Calendar Travel Time Ref. 5326G-001

The new reference 5326G-001 by Patek Philippe is a marriage of two practical complications in a single watch. Combining the annual calendar and travel time complications, this watch is the perfect companion for travellers. The Annual Calendar Travel Time is designed to always indicate the exact date for local time.  All indications are set using the single crown, which has a winding-stem setting mechanism that has three positions.

The textured matte dial draws on a vintage inspiration, distinguishable by its charcoal gray colour with a black-radiant rim, inspired by antique camera cases. The new Ref. 5326G-001 is housed in a new Calatrava case in white gold with the Clous de Paris, or hobnail pattern guilloche, on the circumference of the caseband. It comes with two interchangeable calfskin straps: beige with nubuck finish, and a fabric-pattern embossed black strap with contrasting beige stitching.

Ladies Calatrava Moonphase Ref. 7121/200G-001

Patek Philippe presents their smallest complicated movement in a new interpretation. The 33mm white gold case houses the manually wound Caliber 215 PS LU. The sunburst blue dial creates subtle light effects. The brilliance of this novelty is the jewellery dimension: illuminating the piece is a double row of 132 brilliant-cut diamonds, set using the exclusive lacy Dentelle technique.

Olive dial Twenty~4 Ref. 4910/1200A

Continuing with the success of the green-dialed Nautilus launched in 2021, Patek Philippe uses a similar hue of green for the Twenty~4. A range made for the discerning lady, this new addition is wearable at any time of day and night, and on every occasion. The new olive green dial strikes an optimal contrast with the applied 12 and 6 o’clock numerals, the applied trapeze-shaped hour markers, and the rounded baton-style hands. A row of 18 diamonds set on either side of the dial accentuates the curvaceous shape of the Art Deco-inspired two-tier case in stainless steel.
