What You Need To Know About The Rolex Oyster Perpetual 39mm Watch

Rolex fans looking for the most accessible entry into the brand have a new series of options with the iconic Oyster Perpetual which now comes in a 39mm wide model for men. For years people purchased the Air King as the most affordable new timepiece Rolex made, and now with Oyster Perpetual 39 – which is available with a few dial colors – a new “first time King” timepiece is available from “the crown.”

At 39mm wide the new Oyster Perpetual is a mid-size steel watch on a bracelet, but one that is large enough for at least most modern tastes. Fully an Oyster in design (with its corresponding durability), the Oyster Perpetual positions itself not as one of Rolex’s popular steel sport watches, but rather as a casual high-end fashion timepiece by offering three dial options that include gray with blue accents, purple with red accents, and blue with green accents.

Inside the Oyster Perpetual is the in-house made and COSC Chronometer certified caliber 3132 automatic movement. Design details throughout the watch are simple including a rounded, polished bezel, straight-forward dial with no date, and a simple yet comfortable three-link Rolex bracelet. With The Oyster Perpetual Rolex has indeed offered a new entry-level model but one that doesn’t really leave much to be desired as is the case with many other Rolex timepieces. Instead, a better way to appreciate the appeal of the Oyster Perpetual is as the ultimate casual Rolex watch… that still happens to convey the strong message of wearing a Rolex.
