The Richard Mille RM27-02: A Mechanical Tourbillon in a Sports Watch

Richard Mille has upped the game with its latest complex timepiece for Rafael Nadal. A sponsor of Nadal’s for five years,  the company produced a new mechanical tourbillon, the Richard Mille RM 27-02 that is able to adapt to the whiplash style of Nadal’s tennis moves and withstand 5,000 Gs.

Outfitted with grade 5 titanium and a sapphire crystal, the Richard Mille RM 27-02‘s case has been made harder, lighter and more resistant by using two newly developed carbon fiber materials – A joint effort by Richard Mille and North Thin Ply Technology ( The company that produces composites for space exploration and Formula 1 racing).
