Experiencing The Art Of Patina By Corthay

Mr Xavier de Royere, CEO of Corthay with Corthay Patina Master

It was a fascinating sight of gleam and shine. Premium French bespoke shoemaker Pierre Corthay specially got his Patina Master down in October to Malmaison to demonstrate his finesse and expertise through a unique patina session.

Dandy gentlemen and fashionable ladies alike were treated to an arresting visual feast of Corthay’s shoes in different colored hues and leather.  Captivate is the word to describe that evening as the guests looked on in wonder and awe and got to experience how a patina session in an French atelier would be like.

Pierre Corthay, the French shoe maestro created his eponymous label in 1990 and a legend is born. He is recognized as the leading craftsman in his field and is awarded the highest possible recognition of “Maitre d’Art” from the French Ministry of Culture, a title that is not bestowed upon lightly.
